i24news starts promotional tour

Eight months after launching, the new French-Israeli international news channel i24news, started a worldwide promotional tour in Paris this week to seduce ad agencies and potential brands.
Available free of charge on cable, satellite and the Internet, and run by Franck Melloul, i24news broadcasts in three languages: French, English and Arabic.
The channel's roadshow will also go to Spain, Germany, Italy, the UK and the USA, a country where i24news aims to be transmitted via satellite before the summer.
The channel potentially covers 850 million homes in Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia and is live streamed on the Web.
With a €50 million budget, i24news is headquartered in Jaffa within Tel-Aviv area, and dedicates 70% of its content to international news and 30% to regional news.
It employs 250 people including 150 journalists from 35 countries.
i24news is financed by French-Israeli business man Patrick Drahi, one of the main shareholders of French cable operator Numericable and the owner of Israeli HOT TV platform.
