Spain's Twin Pines studios has chosen Trigital to update its audiovisual infrastructure for special effects.
Trigital, specialising in integral solutions, will renew the storage capacity and network and applications, in addition to providing 12 new HP work stations.
The company will install a powerful share storage solution and software from Autodesk Maya, The Foundry Nuke, PF Track, Nucoda Look and Avid Media Composer. Trigital has overseen the whole process, from consultancy to support and crew training.
"At Twin Pines we had the need of flexible equipment which could help us to face our future challenges," said Juanma Nogales, VFX supervisor at Twin Pines.
The new network's core is a 50 terabytes RAID storage unit connected by fibre to the rest of the equipment. The HP work stations are from the brand's latest equipment generations, the Z420, Z620 and Z820 with Ivy Bridge processors.
"We thought HP will be the proper solution for Twin Pines' needs," said Mariano Gismero, IT manager at Trigital. The audiovisual company is HP gold partner, finding HP solutions for most of its projects.
Twin Pines will also count on Digital Vision's solution for colour grading Nucoda Look, an edition system of Avid Media Composer and the animation software 3D Autodesk Maya.
