Pro-Russian separatists have reportedly seized control of the state television studio in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine.
A masked man claimed the group responsible were members of the Donetsk People's Republic and said the TV station he was guarding would now be broadcasting the Russian state-owned news channel Rossiya 24.
"The journalists will be allowed to continue to work but they will have to tell the truth," one militant told Reuters.
"The Russian channels tell the truth. We demand to have channels in Donetsk that tell the truth," he added.
Russian TV channels have been banned by the Ukrainian authorities in Kiev, who accuse them of spreading propaganda.
