Bambú, Atresmedia put on Blue Jeans

Bambú Producciones is using its latest TV success to launch into the cinema scene with Atresmedia by making a film of Buenos Días, Princesa, one of the stories from Blue Jeans, the bestselling series by Francisco de Paula.
The movie, El Club de los Incomprendidos, will be the first film directed by Carlos Sedes, who has achieved great success with TV series such as Velvet, Gran Hotel and Hispania, all of which achieved large audience figures in Spain and have been sold to many other countries.
The films' cast is formed of young actors from the Spanish TV scene, including Charlotte Vega (El Secreto del Puente Viejo), Alex Maruny (Luna, el Misterio de Calenda) and Andrea Trepat (Gran Hotel).
The film, the shooting of which started last week, is about a teenage girl who joins a new high school and has to find her way and make new friends.
It is scheduled to premiere this Christmas and will be distributed by DeAPlaneta, which also distributed Tres Metros Sobre el Cielo and Tengo Ganas de Ti, two of the Spanish industry's most successful films for youngsters.
