Quanna.tv, the new Argentinean over-the-top (OTT) operator, aims to use online technologies to codify and transport video in order to monetise audiovisual content and transport full HD multimedia content from and to every corner of the world.
Operating as a regular pay-TV platform, the service is only available through the Internet. Not many channels are currently available, but the platform's managers have indicated via social networks that more will air in the coming weeks. Quanna.tv intends to broadcast TV networks, radio stations and even live theatre programming and university channels through the same platform.
The platform's software allows streaming, video-on-demand (VOD), schedules, advertising banners and all the regular features of an online video service.
Quanna.tv is already available on several devices, including Android and iOS, and will soon be launched on smart TVs.
The Argentinean service is already operating in the country, but will be launched in the rest of the region, including Brazil, and is also scheduled to operate in Miami. The company expects to gain a solid position in the OTT market and expand the platform to other countries outside Latin America.
