Sony Six begins World Cup build-up

Sony Six, which holds the exclusive broadcast rights in India for the FIFA World Cup 2014, is beginning its build up to the Brazil-based footballing extravaganza with a host of new World Cup themed programmes.

Destination Brazil, a 16 episode World Cup preview series, will profile the national teams who have qualified for the tournament and evaluate their potential. Football's World Stars will provide ten episodes of top footballing talent, ahead of their appearance in Brazil this June and July.

In addition, official FIFA World Cup films will recount the best of the tournament's action, and the route to the final for previous winners Brazil (in 2002), Italy (in 2006) and Spain (in 2010).

Other Six content for May includes World Cup Shocks, World Cup Stories, and World Cup Classics. There will also be a chance to re-live the action from the last World Cup finals in South Africa in 2010.
