Argentina launches multi-platform series competition

In a bid to promote national audiovisual talent encourage production using new TV formats, Argentina's National Institute for Cinema and Audiovisual (INCAA) has launched a competition looking for multiplatform youth series.
The projects need to consist of a series for TV broadcasting and a free-access Web app to enable the production to interact with computers and smartphones. The INCAA will award six entrants, one for each of the country's regions, with $400,000 to develop their series.
Lucrecia Cardoso, INCAA's president, told the Argentinean media that "the audiovisual industry of the country is betting on multiplatform, thanks to the technological changes that are being experienced in the production, distribution and broadcasting areas."
