The Tanzanian media group Clouds is to launch a Middle East based television station for the African diaspora called Clouds TV International on 15 June.

The channel, based in Abu Dhabi's twofour54 media hub, will predominantly comprise sub-Saharan African content, with some additional North African programming, according to BroadcastPro ME.

"Our goal is to provide quality TV and OTT programming. We also hope to reach out to other cultures and communities by offering compelling entertainment on Clouds TV International," said Joseph Kusaga, managing director, Clouds Media International FZ-LLC and Clouds TV International.

The group, which currently produces content in Africa, plans to eventually move its production base to twofour54, and is in the process of finalising channel distribution agreements.
