Metástasis, the Latin American adaptation of Breaking Bad, is to premiere on Univision, UniMás and Galavision simultaneously on 8 June.

The series will regularly air on UniMás from Monday to Friday.

As in the original AMC story, the series depicts the life-altering transformation of Walter Blanco, a modest high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Weighing his limited options and finances, Walter realises that he is willing to do just about anything to ensure that his pregnant wife and disabled son are well provided for when he is gone.

Metástasis is a Sony Pictures Television production and recreates the spellbinding story in a Latin American setting, giving the characters authentic Latino identities that will resonate with UniMás viewers. Its cast includes Colombian stars Diego Trujillo as Walter Blanco, Roberto Urbina as José Miguel, Sandra Reyes as Cielo Blanco and Julián Arango as Henry Navarro, among others.
