Orange Is the New Black arrives on Canal+ a day after Netflix

Canal+ Series is to premiere the second season of Orange Is the New Black only 24 hours after the Netflix US premiere.
The Jenji Kohan series will be available on the video-on-demand (VOD) platform from 7 June.
As it did last year - when it launched its premium series channel - Canal+ will air Orange Is the New Black episodes in the original version with subtitles or dubbed into Spanish a week later. The same formula has been used with other American series with a large fan base in Spain, for example with Game of Thrones.
The entire first season of the Netflix production - the platform's most watched series of last year and awarded by the AFI (American Film Institute) as one of the best series of 2013 - will be broadcast on Prisa's pay-TV platform on 6 June prior to the premiere of the second series to refresh viewers interest.
Orange Is the New Black is a comedy drama which tells the story of prison inmate Piper Chapman. The stars Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Kate Mulgrew, Michael Harney and Jason Biggs.
