Mediapro, fast becoming a leading light in the production of European live football, has been chosen by Portugal's Sport TV, host broadcaster for the Champions League final, to produce the event.
Taking place in Lisbon on Saturday (24 May), the match between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid has created worldwide interest. Other international networks will be at Estadio da Luz, many of which will also get technical support from Mediapro.
The Spanish production company will not film the match in 4K, a technology which it has been testing out during La Liga and Spanish Cup matches, but will deploy 35 cameras, including a flycam, two hi-motion, four super slow motion and one helicopter with cineflex steadycams. Over 130 technicians from France, Spain and Portugal will be working to operate Mediapro's technology.
The company will be providing technology for beIN Sports (MENA, the US, France), Sport TV (Portugal), TV Globo (Brazil), Canal+ (France), Puls4 (Austria), TF1 (France), ESPN (Brazil) and Band TV (Brazil).
Mediapro has been also selected by UEFA to produce the Stadium TV signal, which is going to be broadcast on screens in the Estadio da Luz.
