Argentina's association of cable TV (ATVC) says it will hold a new edition of the ATVC awards to recognise the best national productions and the country's audiovisual industry.

Registration for the event is open until 1 August and attendees can apply through ATVC's website.

ATVC wants to celebrate the national industry through the event and recognise the effort and achievements of the more than 1,000 production companies working in the country.

All genres and activities will be awarded by ATVC, from documentaries and educational programmes to music and PR productions.

Shows produced from July 2013 to June 2014 can participate and need to be the result of a collaboration between a cable operator and a national producer.

In the awards' previous edition, local production houses and cable operators including San Jose Video Cable, Cablevision, Cable Norte and Porteña Televisora were awarded for their contribution to Argentina's audiovisual industry.
