Turner moves ahead in Argentina

Turner is continuing to restructure its Latin American team; after naming a new distribution and marketing VP for the region, the Argentinean office, the largest outside the US, is to get a new CEO.
Felipe de Stefani, who has been working as senior VP for TBS Veryfunny, Infinito, truTV, HTV, Glitz and MuchMusic, will be take over as chief executive. De Stefani's main goal will be to design the global strategy for Turner's operations in Argentina.
Turner's office in the country is probably the most important in Latin America, as it broadcasts 50 feeds to over 40 countries, reaching 54 million homes in the region. Around 850 people work in the Buenos Aires' office in field including programming, production, sales operations, technology, research and marketing.
"Felipe has already carried an executive role in our office in Argentina during eight of the 13 years he has been at the company, plus five years in Atlanta in charge of pan-regional markets and new media for Cartoon Network," explained Juan Carlos Urdaneta, president at Turner Latin America.
De Stefani takes over from Whit Richardson, who is now executive VP for marketing and distribution in Latin America and has been relocated to the company's Atlanta headquarters.
