The Invizimals movie series, based on the PlayStation videogame saga, have topped the children's audience ratings in Spain on TVE's Clan channel during prime time.
Aired on 14 and 15 June, Invizimals: The Alliance and Invizimals: A Tale of Two Dimensions achieved audience shares of over 30% and 27% respectively.
The two TV movies, which will premier worldwide at the end of this year, introduced augmented reality to television. During specific moments, viewers can capture Invizimals creatures via the PlayStation Vita portable system or on iOS and Android mobile devices through the free TV Capture app.
In addition to Spain, where the series is distributed by BRB Internacional, the movies are achieving good audience figures in France (Gulli), Italy (K2), Australia (Network Ten), Greece (Star) and Portugal (SIC), with BRB also being the rights manager in these last two countries.
The Invizimals animated series is co-produced by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Screen 21, TVC and TVE.
