Arkena's Cloud4Media platform is being used to deliver FIFA's non-linear video content produced at Brazil's World Cup. For the second world cup in a row, Arkena is the technical provider for domestic contribution and international delivery for the international football organisation.
The platform is being operated by Arkena's team at the International Broadcast Centred in Rio de Janeiro, complemented by staff at the Paris and Los Angeles offices.
Arkena provides the technology, network infrastructure and services to enable fast and secure file transfer between the 12 stadiums hosting the games, Copacabana beach studio, the 25 team hotels and base camps and the International Broadcasting Centre in Rio de Janeiro. The service is used daily by 41 teams covering the event. Arkena also delivers FIFA content and private unilateral feeds from Brazil to over 40 broadcasters around the world.
The French company manages the delivery of all non-live content produced by FIFA. More than 300,000Gbs of content are expected to transit through our Cloud4Media solution during the competition. This represents over 35,000 media files bringing the story of the largest football event to screens worldwide.
