German cross-screen advertising and real-time TV ad tracking company wywy has completed the acquisition of the US company Second Screen Networks, throught which it has expanded into the US market and is opening a new office in New York.
Second Screen Networks is a social TV company that allows TV broadcast ads to sync in real time with mobile devices and websites. Through the acquisition, wywy will offer cross-screen advertising and TV analytic services to advertisers and media buyers in across over 200 US TV networks.
The new US subsidiary will offer different tools such as LiveSync, to synchronise TV and online advertising by detecting a TV commercial the moment it is aired and then serving the ad to second screens; SiteSync which synchronises the ads with the products' sites; and real-time TV campaign tracking which integrates its real-time TV data into Web analytic tools, allowing advertisers to measure the commercial's impact.
