Costa Rica's Teletica has chosen technology from VSN to manage the ad distribution and broadcasting of the three channels it currently has on-air.

The network is implementing a plan to modernise its infrastructure, with a special focus on its broadcasting platform and archives.

Teletica acquired from VSN an Ingesta server with two channels and two broadcasting PlayOut SD/HD servers with four channels of 9Tb each, all controlled by three independent systems from VSN Multicom which manage the advertising playlists of each network. The content processed through VSN's devices is exported under the standard XDCAM HD @50Mb to a VSN Spider server.

"We are very proud of Teletica choosing VSN to manage the advertising broadcasts of its three channels with national coverage, which represents a step forward in our company's consolidation in the Central American market," said Mario Díaz, sales manager for Latin America at the Barcelona-based company.

"Security is essential to us, especially regarding ad broadcasting, through which the network's income is generated," explained Alex Porras, manager at Teletica. "We talked to other VSN customers and researched its technical support and post-sales service, and we only heard good reviews."
