Celestial Tiger Entertainment seals Asian channel distribution deals

Hong Kong-based TV channel operator Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) is expanding its Asian reach to Myanmar, the Micronesian islands of Palau and the Philippines.
CTE operates the 24-hour Chinese film channel Celestial Movies, Celestial Classic Movies which airs digitally-remastered Chinese masterworks, action entertainment channels KIX and KIX HD, and Thrill, which is dedicated to horror, thrillers and suspense films.
4TV, operated by the Forever Group, is now set to launch Celestial Classic Movies in Myanmar, while the national telco Palau National Communications Corporation will launch the same channel on PNCC Digital TV in the Republic of Palau.
The recently-established K-Vision pay-TV platform, owned by Kompas Gramedia Group, will also carry Celestial Movies and KIX; and the Philippines' direct-to-home (DTH) satellite provider Cignal TV, a subsidiary of MediaQuest Holdings, will distribute KIX HD and Thrill in the Philippines.
