Tricolor fine-tunes audience measurement

The leading Russian DTH platform Tricolor TV and Agency 2, which is part of the GS Group, have teamed to launch a new telemetry panel.
Operating in test mode and set to make its full commercial debut in early 2015, it will, according to Tricolor TV, provide more accurate thematic channel audience measurements.
It will also help Agency 2, which sells airtime for Tricolor TV, develop a new advertising market, namely the consumers of HD content.
Tricolor TV has played a key role in the introduction of HD services in Russia, which are now received by over 3.5 million of its subscribers.
The panel will in addition allow accurate audience measurements not only in large towns and cities but also communities with under 100,000 inhabitants, where effectively over half (74 million) of the population live.
