Prime Entertainment Group has renewed a carriage agreement with Chellomedia Latin America. Chello will continue to license new episodes of Hollywood on Set, this year in HD, to be broadcast across 34 territories in Latin America.

"It's a true pleasure to reinforce our presence in the Latin American territories and see our cinema-related series do so well on big movie and entertainment networks like Chello," said David Freydt, Prime's managing director. "Chello has been a great partner these last years and we keep strengthening our relationship by placing more and more of our programs on the Chello channels and the AMC Network all over the globe, it's a big satisfaction."

Hollywood on Set is a weekly show going behind the scenes and on the sets of top movies. It also airs on channels such as HBO Netherlands, HBO Central Europe, HBO Asia, and Universal Networks in the Pan African territory.

AMC Networks announced this week that it is re-branding Chellomedia to AMC Networks International. The company will also take in AMC/Sundance Channel Global, which operates in Europe, Latin America, the Mid-East and Asia.

"Re-naming Chellomedia is a natural next step as we continue to integrate this portfolio of channels and transition AMC Networks into a global media company," said AMC Networks COO Ed Carroll.

AMC Networks International now consists of six operating units, located in Asia-Pacific, Central Europe, Iberia, Latin America, Zone (EMEA) and DMC, a European-based global media technology and distribution company. Its array of television channels are distributed to more than 390 million households in 138 countries.

AMC completed its acquisition of Chellomedia from Liberty Global earlier in the year for the hefty price tag of $1 billion.
