Pay-TV music channel provider Stingray Digital has signed a deal with Brazil's TVN allowing the Canadian company to offer its portfolio to subscribers of Telecomunicações Nordeste y Multitel and pay-TV operators in the states of Maranhão and Rio Grande do Sul.

The 50 music channels from the Galaxie service will be available through selected pay-TV platforms immediately.

"This agreement allows us to increase our presence in a market of great importance and potential regarding Latin American pay-TV, while it consolidates Stingray Digital as a premium partner for operators looking to offer music services as an added value," said Gustavo Tonelli, general manager for Latin America at Stingray.

Stingray Digital, which bought Mood Media's DMX Media at the beginning of the year, acquiring with it many strategic partners in Latin America and the Caribbean, continues to strengthen its position in the LATAM pay-TV market.

The Montreal-based company has offices in Los Angeles, Miami, London and Tel Aviv, and is owned by Telesystem, Novacap and Boyko Investment Corporation. Its music platform targets both individual clients and companies, serving content to music and video providers such as Galaxie, Music Choice International and Karaoke Channel.
