Telefónica's B2B company Media Networks is to present its direct-to-home services and audiovisual solutions at ABTA 2014.

The Latin American TV industry will gather at the event in Sao Paulo which is organised by Associação Brasileira de Televisão por Assinatura, Brazil's pay-TV organisation.

"We are participating for the fourth year in a row, as ABTA is a very important showcase for the industry in Brazil and Latin America," said Leandro Gaunszer, commercial director at Media Networks. "It's a huge opportunity to focus on our main business areas: DTH wholesaling and turnkey solutions for audiovisual operators."

Media Networks is one of the main wholesalers of pay-TV in Latin America, currently running 19 operations in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama. The DTH services are offered as a private label, giving operators full control of commercial features such as branding, pricing and marketing.

Within its turnkey solutions portfolio, Media Networks offers consultancy, design and implementation to infrastructure projects, production centres and broadcasting operations, among other solutions. It has recently implemented Portugal's Rede Record HD production centre and Peru's Frecuencia Latina digitalisation.
