By renewing its collaboration agreement for another year, the Basque public media group Euskal Irrati Telebista (EiTB) will be covering the San Sebastian film festival on all its platforms.
From 19 September, the group's free-to-air (FTA) channels from ETB network, its online video platform eitb.eus and its several radio stations will offer comprehensive coverage of the event. The opening and closing gala, as well as the Donostia and Zinemira awards ceremony, will be broadcast live by ETB1 and streamed live on the group's online service.
The news programmes Egun On Euskadi, ETB Hoy, Gaur Egun and Teleberri, as well as the magazine show Sin Ir Más Lejos and the culture programme EiTB Kultura, will dedicate a substantial amount of their schedules to the film festival.
San Sebastian will become the world capital of cinema during the nine-day event, now in its 62nd edition. Although there will be a wide international representation, more local movies have also booked slots during the week, with ETB having collaborated on two of them: Loreak, produced by Irusoin; and Lasa eta Zabala, produced by Abra.
