Big Screen Entertainment Group said that it has slated the DVD/Blu-Ray release of vampire drama Crimson Winter for 7 October, just in time for the Halloween season.

Produced by Interwoven Studios, Crimson Winter is director Bryan Ferriter's debut film. Featuring David Lee Smith (Man From Earth) and Paulie Rojas (Down and Dangerous), the film follows a vampire prince on a journey to unite the races of human and vampire.

"The movie's beautiful cinematography along with the gothic/modern, time-travelling themes provides a highly entertaining viewing experience," said Big Screen CEO Kimberley Kates. "We are excited to include Crimson as part of our 2014 distribution slate."

Crimson Winter will be available on DVD/Blu-Ray for $13.99 and $18.99 respectively. The title will have three special featurettes and exclusive content. The film also will be available via video-on-demand outlets including iTunes, DISH, Amazon and Google Play.
