For the sixth edition of its Festival de Series, Canal+ is taking the event outside Madrid by adding two further venues - Barcelona and Málaga - to target a larger audience.

canalStarting in Madrid at Cinesa Proyecciones between 17-19 October, the festival will move to Barcelona's Cinesa Diagonal Mar during 24-16 October, concluding in Malaga on 1 November, in conjunction with the city's Film Festival.

For the second year in a row the event is supported by premium channel Canal+Series as well as Calle 13, FOX, AXN, Comedy Central, TNT, Syfy, Cosmo, FOX Life and AXN White, and the kids channels Disney Junior, Disney XD, Disney Cinemagic, Nickelodeon and Canal Panda.

Although most of the festival's schedule has not been unveiled yet, Canal+ has announced one of its main features, a series called Crossover where young creators have to build a spin-off from the pilot episode.

Canal+ also says it is preparing workshops, debates, premieres and marathons of the most successful series of the year.
