The rebranding of Romtelecom and Cosmote will be finalised tomorrow (September 13), when the two companies come to be known as Telekom Romania.

Their official trademark will be the “T” logo and the Romanian version of “Life is for sharing” translated into “Experiente Impreuna”.

The rebranding will be marked by interactive events taking place in Bucharest, Cluj and Iasi, as well as a special event in Berlin.

Commenting on the development, Claudia Nemat, board member Europe and Technology at Deutsche Telekom, said: “Adding Romania to the Magenta map, is a natural step in the evolution of Deutsche Telekom’s footprint in Europe. It is in line with our strategy to offer the best customer experience driven by technology leadership.

Hans-Christian Schwingen, chief brand officer at Deutsche Telekom, added: “Romania turns on magenta fully embracing our universal brand belief that life is about sharing and being connected every time, everywhere”.

Romtelecom is one of the leading providers of pay-TV services in Romania, while Cosmote is a leading mobile company.
