Participating for the first time at the IBC Content Everywhere Workflow Solution, Spain's VSN has explained how it is able to optimise broadcasters' workflows through the example of Telson's integration into Turner International.

vsnDuring the session MAM&BPM: How to Orchestrate and Optimise Media Workflows at IBC, Roberto Duif, international channel manager at VSN, and Alfredo Blanco, head project manager at Telson, showed how VSN helped Telson to implement an automated platform to manage all processes related with delivery of broadcast materials as part of a play-out outsourcing of four Turner International channels.

Telson is responsible for the distribution in Spain of Turner channels and required the implementation of a MAM/BPM platform as well as access to Turner's platform in London in order to work collaboratively.

VSN's professional services defined six business processes, and the different integrations required by Telson were carried out: integration with Turner´s traffic system; Minnetonka for audio processing; Softel for subtitles insertion; Cerify for automatic quality control; Carbon Coder for transcoding; and Signiant for file exchange with Turner International.

"VSN was the only solution that satisfied all of our requirements; it is a 100% Web platform, really customisable, based on the latest technologies, and integrates easily with all existing equipment," said Alfredo Blanco. "This allowed us to improve and automate all the necessary processes for the deployment of Turner's channels, in a very fast and efficient way".
