Viacom International Media Network (VIMN) has enlisted Ananey Communications as its new consumer products agent in Israel. Ananey is already the local licensing partner for VIMN-owned channels including Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and MTV.

Ananey also produces and distributes over 15 original channels, including The Good Life, The Food Channel, The Health Channel, The Travel Channel, and the men's channel Ego. It also represents CNBC and MSNB in Israel.

"VIMN is always looking for ways to strengthen its growth in key markets through investment, relationship building and innovative business models. Ananey is a well-established media conglomerate with a history of trading with VIMN and by consolidating our business with one strategic partner; it provides greater synergy opportunities across all lines of business in the market," said Bartosz Witak, VP and general manager, Central Eastern Europe, VIMN.

The deal is expected to expand VIMN's existing business in Israel and secure new deals with non-traditional licensees.
