NexTV Summit looks at TV everywhere

Focusing on the Mexican and Central American markets, the NexTV Summit 2014 will be analysing the coming generation of TV services, looking in depth at over-the-top (OTT), video-on-demand (VOD), multiscreen strategies, smart and interactive TVs and TV everywhere.
nextvlatamOrganised by pay-TV consultancy firm Dataxis, the summit will be holding its fourth edition in Mexico City on 1-2 October. During both days over 350 executives from the broadcasting sector will be analysing the industry's future in the northern part of the Latin American region, led by Mexico which is the country with fastest growth of OTT subs.
"Thanks to the gradual improvement of connection speeds, the availability of more attractive better quality content and the success of connected device sales, OTT services are really taking off in Latin America," said Juan Pablo Conti, senior analyst at Dataxis.
According to the firm's latest report, Mexico's OTT market, led by Clarovideo and Netflix, has experienced a 121.2% growth in the last year, adding 1.11 million subs and reaching a total figure of 2.04 million.
During the event, executives from the pay-TV, satellite and telecom industry will also discuss new business models and content production for new formats.
