Canadian IPTV provider TELUS has added access to more content for its Optik TV subscribers; content from CTV and CTV Two's complete schedules is now available on smartphones, tablets and computers via or the CTV GO app, to subscribers logging in with their Optik TV account credentials.

Optik TV customers can access popular returning series like the Amazing Race Canada, The Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, and new shows like Gotham and Forever. TV fans can also watch full episodes on-demand and live-stream programmes via through their Optik TV digital box or on the move on their smartphone or tablet by accessing Optik's on the go app.

"The way we consume television is constantly evolving and Optik continues to grow to meet the changing needs of today's savvy TV viewers," said Blair Miller, vice president of content at TELUS. "Not only have our customers told us they want TV to be simpler, but they also want more control over how they access their favourite shows."

He added: "Bringing CTV content to our customers on-demand and on-the-go is another way we're delivering on this promise. With access to more than 50 CTV programmes from the 2014 summer and fall line-up available on-demand and on-the-go, TELUS Optik TV customers will stay up to date on all their favourite shows."

In Q2 2014, TELUS added 23,000 TV subscribers and 15,000 high speed Internet customers. Overall, TELUS TV subscribers were up 16% year-over-year to reach 865,000.
