DirecTV, Golf Channel LATAM team up for Ryder Cup broadcasting

Latin American golf fans will get to watch the Ryder Cup 2014 through DirecTV, which is to deliver the whole of the tournament to Golf Channel Latin America.

From 26–28 September at Gleneagles, the Ryder Cup's 40th edition will be broadcast through the regular Gold Channel signal in SD and in HDTV through DirecTV.

"We are proud to offer valuable proposals to the fans, which will enjoy our exclusive coverage of the Ryder Cup with complementary life shows and correspondents placed in Scotland," said Jason Markham, CEO at Golf Channel Latin America . "And now we are adding the HD experience through DirecTV."

The programming of the exclusive golf network, which is available for the whole Latin America including Brazil, includes the press conferences previous to the tournament, a three-hours edition of Golf Central each competition day and a wide analysis during the daily show Diario Golf, as well as the opening and closure ceremonies.

The Ryder Cup, which matches up the best European players against the Americans, will count on figures such as Rory McIlroy and Sergio García. inShare0
