Discovery Kids Asia has acquired children's TV series Thomas Edison's Secret Lab and Warren Buffett's Secret Millionaires Club from management company Genius Brands International (GBI).

The shows will launch on the pay-TV channel in 2015, which reaches nearly 30 million viewers in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Australia.

"The Discovery Kids brand and 'Smart Fun' positioning is in complete alignment with Thomas Edison's Secret Lab and Secret Millionaires Club, which both offer adventure and entertainment while aiming to empower children," said Andrew Berman, SVP of Global Sales, GBI.

"Both series encourage viewers to aspire to do great things and instill a positive can-do spirit, and we have no doubt they will resonate with kids across Asia."

Genius Brands, which produces multimedia content for children aged six to 12, merged with animation studio A Squared Entertainment in November 2013
