Huawei has provided Mexico's Megacable with a hybrid video solution including DVR, catch-up TV, fast channel change and other interactive services like Facebook and Twitter apps via the TV.

The first rollout will take place in the city of Guanajuato for Megacable, which fulfills its name as the biggest cable TV operator in Mexico with 2.2 million pay-TV subscribers,

The Huawei Hybrid Solution is a convergent platform that can support IPTV, unmanaged over-the-top (OTT) offerings, Hybrid DVB-C and multiscreen services. Megacable is leveraging its existing hybrid fibre-coaxial network, including fibre to the home links, which also support wholesale services for telecom operators.
