Online entertainment purveyor BroadbandTV (BBTV) has partnered with FremantleMedia North America (FMNA)’s digital content studio, Tiny Riot!, on a multi-year original programming deal spanning entertainment, gaming and music content.

To kick it off, the companies will co-create five pilot shows, ahead of fully co-producing an ongoing series of popular content.

"We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with the talented people at Tiny Riot! and FremantleMedia as we announce our second major initiative together. The team produces a number of popular and renowned shows such as Got Talent, The X Factor and Family Feud,” said Shahrzad Rafati, founder and CEO at BBTV.

“FremantleMedia is YouTube’s biggest independent TV production partner, and this partnership will combine our joint expertise, resources and reach to create, market and distribute compelling original content for the millennial audience with a focus on genres such as entertainment and gaming.”

Both companies will distribute the content through their most appropriate platforms once fully developed. BBTV currently achieves over 2.4 billion monthly impressions across its network, with over 22,000 content creators.

“BroadbandTV operates one of the leading multi-channel networks in the world, with significant success across a number of key verticals including gaming, entertainment, music and lifestyle,” said Gayle Gilman, EVP of digital content at FMNA and general manager at Tiny Riot!

“We’re very impressed with the growth, distribution and viewership numbers they have generated in a very short period of time. This deal further strengthens our existing relationship and demonstrates our commitment to create the very best in online content together.”

In April this year, BBTV announced that its content management team and proprietary technology platform, VISO NOVI, will track and manage fan-uploaded content for more than 200 FremantleMedia TV shows, including American Idol, the Price is Right, Got Talent, Baywatch and the X Factor
