MIPCOM 2014: BRB takes Invizimals to Al Jazeera

Ahead of BRB Internacional's presence at the forthcoming MIPCOM in Cannes on 13-16 October, the Spanish distributor has announced a new deal with Al Jazeera through which it will take Invizimals to the Arab audience.

invizimalsInvizimals, the series based on Sony's PlayStation video game saga, will also present its new soundtrack and video-clip at MIPCOM. The Spanish artist Abraham Mateo will be singing the closing theme for both the international series and the Spanish version, which is to premiere on TVE by the end of the year.

BRB is also taking a large portfolio of new distribution deals to MIPCOM. Invizimals will be adapted to the Arab-speaking audience and broadcast on Al Jazeera's kids' signals, translated into Russian to air on Multimania and also translated into Hungarian, Romanian and Czech following a distribution deal with AMC Networks Central Europe channel Megamax.

The series has already reached eight million viewers with its two TV movies in Spain (broadcast on TVE and TVC), France (Gulli), Portugal (SIC), Italy (K2), Greece (Star) and Australia (Eleven).

BRB owns the distribution rights for the brand Invizimals in Spain, Portugal and Greece, while it also has an international licence for the series. The animation series is co-produced by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Screen 21, Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals and TVE, and was one of the first series to use augmented reality through a mobile app and PlayStation Vita.
