UAE-based Yahsat is offering a free modem and dish over the coming two months for subscribers to its Kenyan broadband Internet service, which delivers video and data via satellite to homes and businesses across the nation.

The offer, available via local YahClick service providers Skynet and SimbaNET, provides free equipment to business subscription plans for speeds ranging from 3Mbps or higher.

Alternatively, a KSh21,750 discount is available on equipment for 2Mbps or lower plans. Subscribers to Home 3 Mbps plans or higher will pay the discounted equipment charge of KSh19,575 when they subscribe for three months upfront.

"The YahClick promotion presents significant savings so an even greater number of subscribers can benefit from instant connectivity through reliable satellite broadband Internet. Smart businesses are always watching their bottom line, so cost savings are always a welcome message," said David Murphy, chief commercial officer, Yahsat.

"Today, Internet connectivity is a must for businesses and households alike. YahClick is a powerful broadband solution that is making state of the art technology available to the average household, not just high end businesses."
