Studiocanal extends Amazon Prime Instant Video film deal

Amazon and Studiocanal today (9 October) announced a multi-year extension to their film agreement for the Amazon Prime Instant Video streaming service in the UK and Germany.
PrimeIVUnder the terms of the new deal, Prime Instant Video will obtain exclusive first pay-TV rights to all Studiocanal theatrical titles such as The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in Germany and family favourites Paddington and Shaun the Sheep in both countries. The first film in the deal for the UK will be The Imitation Game starring Benedict Cumberbatch as legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing.
Amazon will also deliver further support to Studiocanal's British productions through premium promotion across Amazon's media group, with selective titles branded as Amazon Originals.
The deal will also see hundreds of library titles added to the service including award-winning films such as Apocalypse Now and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
