Spain's TVE is hoping to make an impact at MIPCOM, and will be showcasing its award-winning and most popular fictional series.
At the Cannes event, which takes place on 13 to 16 October, TVE's show will be led by Víctor Ros, a series about a police officer in Madrid during the 19th century.
The third and last season of Isabel, which was recently awarded with Spain's Premio Nacional de Television, will be also among TVE's main hooks at the show. The programme, starring Michelle Jenner and Rodolfo Sancho, has won around 30 different prizes for its first and second seasons, including Hamburg's World Media Festival silver globe and Spain's Ondas.
TVE will be also presenting short TV movies such as Prim, el Asesinato de la Calle del Turco, which premiered at the San Sebastian film festival, and Vicente Ferrer, a drama based on the philanthropist and his work in India.
In addition to the latest productions, TVE will be carrying other formats, which are still achieving success around the world. Los Misterios de Laura, taking advantage of the series relaunch through NBC's adaptation The Mysteries of Laura, will be part of the public network's catalogue, sharing space with other productions such as Ana y los Siete, which is being shown in Italy, Chile, Portugal and Mexico, through Televisa's adaptation. inShare0
