ProSiebenSat.1 confident of hitting 2015 growth target ahead of plan

As it presented its latest interim results, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group has assured investors that it will achieve its revenue growth target of 800 million in the five years to 2015 by the end of 2014.

ProSiebIn addition, the leading German media firm said that it is making 'very good progress' towards its target of 1 billion revenue increase compared with 2012, which was set for 2018. All three of its core segments were said to be ahead of schedule.

ProSiebenSat.1 based the early confirmation of the 2015 growth targets primarily on the significant revenue increase in the digital and adjacent and content production and global sales segments. Together, the two units already contribute virtually a quarter of the group's revenues. The German-speaking broadcasting segment is developing according to plan and was, said the firm, contributing to the performance. Due to the positive business performance in the third quarter and the good start into the fourth quarter of 2014, the company is updating its revenue forecast. For the full year, the group now expects revenues to increase in the high single-digit percentage range.

"We are on an excellent path with the expansion of our digital business, the interlinking of our audio-visual content and the development of innovative business models," commented CEO Thomas Ebeling. "We have worked our way up to leading market positions in all areas and will continue the forward-looking, dynamic development of our business on this basis. This also includes the growing internationalisation of our digital business in the coming years."
