Lorenz Glatz, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Kabel Deutschland, has left Germany’s largest cable operator at his own request on October 15, 2014.

His successor is Frank Hellemink, previously head of the network engineering unit at Kabel Deutschland.

Glatz joined Kabel Deutschland as CTO in 2006. His responsibilities included, for example, the technical construction of the new playout centres in Frankfurt-Rödelheim and Kirchheim, the new voice and IP platforms, the creation of the backbone and the setup of the head-ends.

No information was given on the reason for his departure and his future occupation.
