Turner Broadcasting System's latest channel Oh!K has launched on Singapore's StarHub TV, providing the local audience with popular South Korean shows shortly after premiering in their home country.

The first episode of the forthcoming drama Pride and Prejudice, for example, will be aired in Singapore on Oh!K on 28 October, just a day after it will be first shown in South Korea.

Other shows carried by the new pay-TV channel include Diary of a Night Watchman, in which a secret gang of night watchmen solves cases involving the realms of the supernatural, and You Are My Destiny, which stars onscreen couple Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-ra.

"We are thrilled to strengthen our relationship with our valued partner Turner for the launch of Oh!K on StarHub TV. This allows Singapore audiences to be the first in the world to enjoy Oh!K a channel that offers the best-in-class Korean programming. We are confident that viewers will be captivated by the stellar line-up on Oh!K which ranges from intriguing drama serials to laugh-a-minute variety shows," said Lee Soo Hui, head of Media Business Unit, StarHub.

To enable customers to sample Oh!K, there will be complimentary viewing of the channel from 20 October until 11 November. After that date, existing StarHub customers of the Basic Chinese Entertainment HD Upsize Group, Impian Pack, Thangam Pack, or Thangam Migai Pack can continue to enjoy the channel at no additional cost. Or viewers can subscribe to the new Sensasi Pack at a monthly subscription fee of SGD8.56 (US$6.74).
