Telemadrid taps Sony for online work space

Once again relying on Sony, Telemadrid is moving its content elaboration system online to integrate planning, editing, distribution and archiving of audiovisual content.
sonapsThe Spanish regional channel has been using Sony's NewsBase system for the last 15 years and is now installing an online working environment. The company will adapt the Sonaps system to meet the requirements of Telemadrid, which produces both news programmes and entertainment shows for the local audience.
Sonaps will be installed within the coming months and will meet Telemadrid's current workflow demands while integrating ORAD's graphic generators and an INVENIO archive system. According to Sony, the new system will improve the network's digitalisation and increase its work speed, quality and efficiency.
The system Sony will install for Telemadrid uses standard hardware run by open software which enables the public broadcaster to continue to employ old devices in case they're needed.
