Investigation Discovery, Science Channel top viewer approval lists

Despite boasting flagship cable networks like Discovery, Animal Planet and TLC, Discovery Communications has announced that its lesser lights have earned the best marks for viewer satisfaction and relevance.
For the fifth consecutive year, Investigation Discovery ranked No 1 in percentage of viewers who are very satisfied with the network. In addition Science Channel also earned high marks, ranking No 1 for the second year in a row for percentage of viewers rating the channel as important.
The two cable nets also logged other accolades for Discovery Communications. For the fourth straight year, Investigation Discovery ranked No 1 among female viewers and with viewers 18-49 for being very satisfied with the network.
It also ranked No 1 among total viewers on average viewer satisfaction. Among viewers aged 18-34, Science Channel ranked No 1 on average viewer satisfaction.
An outlier, Destination America, ranked No 1 among female viewers for being very satisfied with the network.
Discovery is on a roll: earlier in October it announced that Discovery Familia has achieved its highest third quarter ever amongst persons aged 18-49. Meanwhile, sister channel Discovery en Español, saw increases year-on-year and was the only Spanish-language cable network to experience quarter-over-quarter growth.
