One of Globo's successes at MIPCOM, the telenovela Trail of Lies, has just been licensed to Public Television of Armenia.
The TV channel is one of the leading open broadcasting companies in the country and a longstanding Globo partner, having already broadcast Side by Side and The Life we Lead, among others.
Trail of Lies will reach Armenian screens dubbed into the local language. The telenovela has already entertained Brazilian viewers, having an overall average rating of 36 points and 61% share in Globo prime time. Its final episode audience rating was 48 points and a 75% share.
Written by Walcyr Carrasco, author of several blockbusters, such as the remake of Gabriela, Trail of Lies has already been licensed to Argentina (Telefé), Ecuador (Ecuavisa), Chile (Canal 13) and Bolivia (Unitel). Its comic characters have also appealed to programmers from the USA (MundoFox), Poland (TVN) and Mozambique (Soico).
Trail of Lies, which was central to Globo's portfolio at MIPCOM, is set in the wealthy bustling city of Sao Paulo and tells the story of Paloma (Paolla Oliveira), a headstrong woman whose newborn baby is kidnapped by her own brother Felix (Mateus Solano), who plans to be sole heir to the family fortune.
