Arrow flies into OTT catalogue

The over-the-top (OTT) film and TV series streaming service has inked a new content partnership with leading independent film and TV distributor Arrow Films.

arrowThe deal, says, will enable it to add cult European TV shows and movies to its on-demand catalogue including content from the Arrow Films Nordic Noir section including The Killing, The Bridge and Wallander as well as the Italian series Gomorrah. It will also offer the ranging iconic Japanese horror Battle Royale. The move is also part of's strategy to differentiate itself from other online video providers who it says solely concentrate on Hollywood blockbusters.

"Our users aren't purely interested in the latest Hollywood blockbusters, we see a desire for a more diverse range of genres and movie styles from all over the globe," commented European content director Simon Homent. "The addition of some of the most popular cult TV series and movies from across Europe will set apart in a market that focuses on Hollywood content, and we will continue adding to it in future."
