Jazz and classical music channel Mezzo Live HD is to become available to pay-TV viewers in Hong Kong, Mongolia and the Philippines following deals with TVB Network Vision, Skytel and DDish.

The three pay-TV platforms will offer viewers the recently launched channel's content from venues such as Paris' Opera, London's Covent Garden, Milan's Scala and Moscow's Bolshoi. In 2015, more localised content will be carried by Mezzo from concerts in Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and elsewhere.

"We are thrilled to announce our first series of deals in the Asia-Pacific region, only a few months after launching the channel. This shows there is a clear demand for our premium music content, and we certainly hope to carry this momentum forward with a range of new initiatives and deals for 2015," said Jean-René Aucouturier, SVP TV sales & business development, Lagardère Active TV.

Hong Kong-based content distributor Lightning International said that further carriage agreements between Mezzo Live HD and other Asian broadcast platforms would follow.
