Discovery Familia, Mitú partner for Hispanic content

In order to bring MiTú's Latino talent to Discovery Familia’s TV and digital audiences, both companies have signed a cross-platform programming deal targeting the Hispanic viewers.

gurusFollowing the agreement, Discovery Familia, a US-based Spanish-language network dedicated to Hispanic women, will premiere the long-format version of two new series, Casa Linda and Gurús de Belleza, both originally produced in house by MiTú and operated through the YouTube channel MiTú Life.

“At Discovery Familia we are committed to being at the forefront of the evolving media landscape,” said Bilai Joa Silar, content VP for Discovery Familia and Discovery en Español.

“With this strategic partnership we have the opportunity to continue to expand our content offering, leveraging up and coming MiTú talent and reaching our audience with storytelling that travels across platforms.”

New episodes of the digital series will continue to run on MiTú Life, and original episodes of the television series will air weekly on Discovery Familia, both tied with a cross-platform engagement programme that provides viewers with a immersive multi-screen experience.
