Movistar gets around in Peru

Telefónica's Movistar has launched a TV everywhere service called GO in Peru, enabling over 850,000 Movistar TV subscribers in the country to watch their favourite content on various screens.

movistargoAvailable since the beginning of the week, through Movistar's website and mobile app, Movistar GO, Peruvians can watch top sports competitions such as Formula One and the Champions League and the best series and movies from channels including CMD and Plus TV on smartphones, tablets and computers, both for Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices.

"Movistar GO is an innovative move, trying to deliver the latest on video technology to Movistar's subscribers," said José Prinz, marketing manager at Movistar Peru. "Through GO, our customers can watch their favourite content no matter where they are, at any time and at no extra cost."

The TV everywhere service, which is available in many countries throughout Latin America and also in Spain, offers both live content and video-on-demand (VOD), organised under different categories such as movies, series, sports, lifestyle and kids programming.

"We are sure that Movistar GO will enable our subscribers to keep enjoying our programming, especially football fans, as the platform includes a special section for the Movistar Cup with live games, highlights, VOD matches, statistics and other information," added Prinz.
