CBS Interactive launches CSBN OTT news channel

CBS Interactive has launched CBSN, a live digital news network, across multiple connected devices the latest move by the network to deliver over-the-top (OTT) services.

CBSN is available around the clock and features live, anchored coverage for 15 hours each weekday, with original reporting on national and global stories, coverage of live breaking news and on-demand video from CBS News broadcast programs. It has an hourly format from 9am to midnight ET every weekday, and DVR-like functionality allows viewers to watch previous segments and then jump back into live programming.

1 Mainstream is providing the digital TV distribution platform for the service.

CBS has dived into OTT in a big way, recently launching the CBS All Access subscription service and the Showtime OTT offering.
