Germany’s third-largest cable operator Tele Columbus reported 197,000 internet and 166,000 telephony customers on September 30, 2014 – an increase by around 22% in both cases compared with one year ago.

The average number of products per customer rose from 1.38 to 1.43 while the average monthly turnover per customer (ARPU) grew from €13.30 to €14.00.

Tele Columbus which serves around 1.75 million households throughout Germany increased its turnover in Q3 2014 by 5.5% to €53.9 compared with Q3 2013 while the EBITDA rose by 10% to €25.7 million.

Tele Columbus which took over fibre-network operator Big Medienversorgung in September 2014 expects the positive development to continue in the remainder of the year, also thanks to its newly introduced product offerings and triple play packages which have been well accepted in the market, according to the company.
